Influenza 2024

The Influenza Immunisation Programme for 2024 is now underway.

 

A few things to note:

• The influenza vaccine can be given with all other national schedule vaccines.

• There is no stand-down required between a COVID-19 infection and administration of the influenza vaccine as long as the individual is well.

• When administering Fluad Quad with other adjuvanted vaccines – namely Shingrix and Nuvaxovid – consumers should be informed of the possibility of a stronger post-vaccination response when two or more of these are administered together.

• If a child aged 6 months to under 5 years has a history of febrile convulsions, separation of influenza and PCV13 vaccines by two days can be offered but is not essential.
