Supporting the Next Generation

We're pleased to have student nurse Tienete O'Connor with us in her final semester clinical rotation! 

 

Sena, as she prefers to be called, has 10 weeks clinical placement with us. She's in week 4 and learning a lot with the support and guidance of her clinical preceptor, Bhavik Thakkar, embracing the unique experience that Te Puna's general practice has to offer.

 

“It's a very different experience here compared to a hospital. The pace is task-oriented at a hospital. Here, even though it gets busy, you get to know patients a bit better. I love the wraparound services Te Puna has.”

 

Sena's words reflect the wairua of what we do—forging strong connections with our patients and supporting whānau holistically. It's great to see her learn and grow in this environment.
