SUCCESS STORIES

Ursula Burkhardt

Tangata’s presentation was her way of showing her journey alongside of Te Puna Hauora Community Services.

After the passing of her father, as Executive Power of Attorney - Tangata was left struggling with the Probate process.

On accessing a Property Lawyer, Tangata was able to understand her obligations as a Welfare Guardian and Property Manager dealing with her father’s Estate.

Tangata was then offered compensation from the land owner next door who is redeveloping the property. There is a concern with the height in relation to borders as once the apartments are built, it cuts out light and obstructs the view.

Tangata is currently negotiating with next door, on the sale of her property – Tangata is considering selling to them, at the right price and they are keen to purchase, at the right price. This in turn, will allow Tangata to settle her father’s Estate, outstanding debt and Lawyers’ fees.

Tangata is extremely grateful for the support she received and her presentation was her way of saying thank you, to Te Puna Hauora.
